KINDERGARTEN BUSY LEARNING
Mrs. Cathy’s kindergarten students are busy learning so many news things!!Dear Family Members:
The students have been working hard learning so many news things. Here are some examples of their assessments:
1. I pointed to the colored crayons on the board and asked them to tell me the color I was pointing to (Assessment: Checklist)
2. Also, I pointed to shapes displayed on the board and the students had to tell the name of the shape. (Assessment: Checklist)
3. Draw shapes triangle, square, circle, rectangle in journal. (Teacher Observation)
***I will retest author/illustrator with some of the students who confused the two: Author writes the story/Illustrator draws-colors pictures for the story.
I posted their grades in the grade book and filed assessment checklist and graded work in their portfolios. **I will be sending home their Skill Assessment sheet next week so check those folders!
Please make sure you check folders Every Night. I try to send home important information as soon as I get it, to keep you informed. Please keep all daily papers at home unless it is marked sign and return.
Thanks for all the snack donations!! We really appreciate all that you do!!
Open House went GREAT! I hope you enjoyed visiting all the special programs and collecting famous autographs!
Open House is next Thursday night Sept 20th 6:00 to 7:00 pm. My students will be going around collecting autographs from the "Famous People Here at SES!"
Hope you have a Super Duper Weekend!
Mrs. Cathy

Be Careful with those absences!! Reminder: A student cannot miss more than 17 unexcused days in one school year. Remember to send those excuses in within 5 days of the absence. We still have a long way to go- so use them sparingly. |
|
Also, please try to limit TARDIES and EARLY CHECK-OUTS. Students miss important class instruction and may fall behind when this occurs frequently. Supply Fee $20.00 Due (Pumpkin Patch Field Trip is coming up in October) |
