At Springfield Elementary we have three pre-k classes. The class is limited to 20 children with one teacher and a full-time para-professional.

If you are interested in our pre-k program, you must come by the school to fill out an application. Each child that applies for the program is given a developmental screening, the parents fill out a developmental questionnaire and proof of family income is obtained.  Each of these three things are put into a formula and the 20 children that we deem most needy of the program get accepted. Any child screened that does not get accepted is held on a waiting list in the event that a child drops from the program.
