Merry Christmas
I would like to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas!
Dear Family Members:
The students enjoyed Christmas Caroling yesterday at the "young At Hearts" meal site in Springfield. The students did a really great job and the senior citizens were filled with the Christmas Spirit by the time we left. They liked us so much , they invited us back to visit!
After the holidays, we will start our new Reading Theme "Sunshine and Raindrops". We will be working on the following skills: Letter recognition and sounds for Ll/Kk/Qq, -it family words, Fantasy/Realism, High Frequency Words: is here. The students are beginning to read simple sentences! I am so proud of them!!
***Home study idea:
Create simple sentences from their High Frequency word list and have your child practice reading them. Then watch their confidence in READING GROW!!
In Math, we are still working on counting by larger numbers 10 to 30.
**Home study idea:
Have your child practice counting each night ordinary outdor items, such as leaves, rocks or flowers in the yard.
The more practice the more confidence.
Have a Great Weekend!!
