COLORS ALL AROUND

Mrs. Cathy Martin’s class studies "Colors All Around".

Dear Family Members:

Next week we will begin working on our new Reading Theme "Colors All Around". The students will enjoy many activities using their colors and color words.

Keep practicing those High Frequency Words: Color Words and we will be adding: / I / and the next week we will add /see/. Make sure you add these words as I send them home on index cards to your Flashcard rings.( The ones we made a Parent Night.) We will be adding more words to our Sight Word list weekly now.

In Math, we are still exploring patterns. The students enjoyed making patterns using cinnamon graham sticks, peanut butter and M&M’s. We love classwork that we can EAT!!! YUM!

For additional practice this week, we made patterns using unifix cubes. Students are so much more involved and on-task when they participate in "Hands-on" activities. The students have FUN while they are learning.
