Text Box: Social Living: We have moved on to Unit 5. We are going to learn about The First Americans, Colonies, Using a map scale, how our Country grew, how to read a timeline, and important Americans. We will also be doing activities that tie in with Veteran’s Day. Our test will be Friday, November 16. A study guide will be coming home closer to the test. *******Homework***** I will send the books home through out the units and possible worksheets to enforce the skill. Please go over all highlighted words in the unit with your child, those are the vocabulary words. The pages from the book do not have to be read in one night. I just want you to know where we are.

 

Text Box: Math: We are finishing up Chapter 7 this week, adding two digit numbers. Our test will be Tuesday of this week. Chapter 8 will be more 2 digit addition with regrouping. Our test will be Friday, Nov. 16. Please continue to practice basic addition and subtraction facts. Knowing the basic facts will help in being able to add two digit numbers without fingers and marks. We will have another timed quiz on Thursday. We will be testing on 5,6,7,8, and 9 facts. We will have 25 questions and 2 minutes to answer them. This is the last timed quiz of 2 minutes.   HOMEWORK: DON’T TEAR OUT PAGES OR WORK AHEAD!!!!!! Monday-Review sheet/Study! Text Box: Art:  Our Art is tied in with the lessons from Social Living and Mrs. Candice’s activities when she comes to our class. Mrs. Candice comes to my homeroom class on Tuesdays.
