Unit 3 Study Guide- Use the entire unit to study. All the information on the study guide can be found in the book. Vocabulary: Income- money that people earn. Goods- things that people make or grown. Services- jobs that people do to help others. Tax- money that is collected by a government. Factory- a building where people produce goods. Trade- to buy, sell, or exchange goods. Transportation- a way of moving goods or people from place to place. Barter- to trade a good or service for another good or service without using money.
KNOW: Different ways of transportation. The difference between needs and wants. (ex. A toy is a want, Food is a need) Service workers in our community. What people can do with the money they earn. Making predictions. Be able to take information from a paragraph and predict what will happen next. Use a compass rose on a map to answer questions.
