Pre-K/Early Childhood Community Network

Louisiana has developed a unified Early Childhood System of Local Networks, as directed by Act 3 of the 2012 Regular Legislative Session.  These Networks will provide better access to high quality public-funded early childhood programs for families in Louisiana.  The Livingston Parish Early Childhood Network consists of LPPS Public School Pre-K Programs, Type III Child Care (Centers) accepting CCAP, and Head Start Centers.

Our goal is to provide meaningful learning experiences integrating play, a child's natural approach to learning, which will enhance the development of the child's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and motor skills that are developmentally appropriate for each individual child.  Through the understanding of the natural development process of children, following the Louisiana Birth to Five Standards, we strive to assist all children in being prepared to enter kindergarten.
